Modern STEM education needs modern educational tools. In TekTech, we build systems to enable hands-on learning experiences, so students can explore, build, create, reflect and grow.

Background

"We are witnessing the rise of a new type of inequality, by separating those who will adapt to the changing world and those who will resist it". Klaus Schwab's words reflect the reality that we've seen with the significant growth of digitized jobs and digital skills needed.
TekTech was created in March 2021 to empower students, teachers, and schools to deliver 21st-century learning and approach complex aspects using a simple user experience.

Education Makers

The idea for TekTech was supported by the Concordia Education Makers community. The community's impressive work to promote Maker Education, 21st century skills and modern Educational Technology practices inspired the creating of TekTech. The community is led by Dr. Ann-Louise Davidson who is currently the Chair of the Concordia innovation lab

Nahdet el Mahrousa

The TekTech initiative is incubated and partially funded by Nahdet EL Mahrousa(NM). Established in 2006, Nahdet el Mahrousa was the first social enterprise incubator in the region, and one of the few in the world that incubates young social entrepreneurs at the conception or “idea” stage.
